Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for scheduling and directing all assigned company resources to ship, store and receive materials efficiently and effectively to assure demand is satisfied on schedule.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plans and coordinates daily shipments to meet customer expectations and working with Production department to assure that product is available when needed for shipment.
  • Work with planning and production team to allocate stock for shipments on a daily basis
  • Assures package integrity including container condition, and labeling, etc.
  • Reviews all documentation and labeling for correctness prior to shipment
  • Manage Return Material Authorization process accurately and timely
    • Responsible for finished goods First-In, First-Out inventory control.
  • Entry of late codes in ERP system for On-Time In-Full reporting
  • Updating and managing Media Object notes for proper shipping details and paperwork requirements
  • Coordinates and schedules all Less-Than-Truckload, Truckload, and export container shipments using assigned carriers.
  • Responsible for accuracy of receiving, quarantine and sampling of received raw materials.
  • Leadership and management of the shipping team; goal setting, appraisals, and motivation of employees. Retention of talent.
  • Work with Team Lead to ensure proper organization of finished goods
  • Responsible for cycle counts and inventory adjustments
  • Involved in bi-yearly stock takes

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, B.S. /B.A. degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years shipping/receiving experience required.
  • Ability to direct others
  • Above average verbal communication skills
  • High level of initiative and responsibility
  • Solid decision-making ability
  • Excellent organization skills

Work Environment:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and climb or balance.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have to stand for extended periods and walk moderate distances daily; routinely required to reach with hands and arms; may be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty-five pounds (25 kilograms).

Salary range $70k-85k.The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
