DIT I&O Mgr IT Operations & Support - Hybrid

Position Summary:

The regional IT position provides operational and strategic leadership to the IT End-User Computing (EUC) and IT operations organization. It oversees all regional IT equipment, servers, networks, internal and external partners, contractors, and IT staff. The individual must ensure the structure and teams are aligned to support and accommodate the company's strategic goals and growth. The position holder must also assess talent, guide the team, coach staff, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the organization performs at a high level with a strong service orientation.

Job Accountabilities:

Service Management:

  • Support the IT service management team in delivering high-quality service delivery and process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee the regional IT EUC and Regional Ops organization and ensure that the internal customer’s expectations are met in a timely and cost-effectively.
  • Ensure end-users can access the necessary hardware, software, and technical support to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor and enhance end-user experience, striving for continuous improvement.

Collaboration:

  • Builds strong partnerships between global infrastructure, applications development organizations, and related IT departments to deliver seamless and best results for business
  • Establish effective working relationships with vendors, service providers, and global operational teams to achieve established goals.
  • Champion opportunities, recommendations, and advice that support Quaker Houghton and DIT goals.

Process Management:

  • Owner of the following ITIL processes: Asset management, Service Request.

Finance Management:

  • Develops and manages capital and annual budgets and forecasts for the regional EUC organization

Procurement:

  • Work with the Procurement department to ensure the efficient and cost-effective purchase of IT equipment and software for the internal team and the organization.

Application Management:

  • Oversee the management and support of regional (non-global) IT applications, like country-specific ERP systems and related applications.
  • Hardware Management
  • Oversee the management of the (mobile) phone systems and usage and ensure the most efficient and cost-effective policies and programs
  • Oversee the management and support of regional/local infrastructure, networks, hardware, and internet connections.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience leading distributed End User Computing teams
  • 5+ years of progressive IT hands-on desktop, server and support experience.
  • 3+ years of people management.
  • Experience managing technology vendors, consultants, and developers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
