Job Summary
The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution and measurement of enterprise-wide talent development initiatives, as well as the creation of training materials and eLearning programs. Using knowledge of adult learning principles, they create engaging eLearning programs and training content. They handle the logistical planning, scheduling and coordination of training and development programs. As the owner of the Performance and Learning system and external online learning platform, they manage content, assignments and reporting. Strong organizational skills, detail orientation and a proactive approach are key to success in this role.
What Will You Do
- Create, maintain and distribute eLearning courses, training materials and resources in support of talent development initiatives.
- Serve as the online producer for virtual events, managing breakout sessions and chat discussions.
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of live in-person and virtual events, including scheduling, room setup, logistics and participant communication.
- Coordinate activities and administer system for the performance management and talent planning processes.
- Administer the learning system including curricula development, course assignment and completion tracking.
- Vet and maintain online content from the external learning platform.
- Build and refine processes that can be leveraged for key learning tasks such as participant registration, pre-work notifications, course delivery, post-session survey, assessments, etc.
- Generate, analyze and distribute reports on learning statistics to help make informed decisions regarding future deliverables. Handle quarterly reporting for all learning and development activities.
- Create and maintain employee-facing SharePoint site.
- Assist with the research and vetting of third-party vendors.
- Partner with procurement and finance for vendor setup and invoice payment.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Talent Development event calendar to ensure effective scheduling and coordination with other HR teams.
- Manage the internal talent development mailbox and respond to inquiries.
What Do We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects, processes and initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with others effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Technology-savvy, able to quickly learn and navigate systems.
- High degree of detail orientation and the ability to analyze and manipulate data from multiple sources.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Math Ability: Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret metrics/reports.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning suites, serving as a training producer in online meeting platforms. Experience developing web pages on SharePoint a plus.
