Customer Service Representative

Position Summary:

Provide fast and accurate processing of orders, inquiries and return authorizations in a customer service environment in the manufacturing sector.

What you will do:

  • Review, process and follow up on orders and inquiries by telephone, fax, internet, EDI and correspondence from customers and Technical Sales Representatives.
  • Maintain established performance metrics for order accuracy, volume of entries, phone volume and error rate.
  • Responsible for timely customer communications, including but not limited to pricing information, order confirmation and shipping status.
  • Proactively review open order reports and information providing documentation as requested to customers, manufacturing plants or sales.
  • Process and monitor Return Authorizations, obtain required approvals for changes to customer specific information and special accommodations.
  • Own, manage, maintain and update customer data and files.
  • Adhere to SOX requirements of confirming orders and ensuring all orders shipped in the month are processed through sales update for revenue recognition.
  • Other job responsibilities and requirements that may be assigned.

What we look for:

  • HS Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; JD Edwards experience desired.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a flexible environment with minimum supervision.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player and work well within a team environment
